got into a BIG show

I found out on Monday I got into a big craft fair. It's juried and it is my first juried event.
Not sure how the heck I will have enough inventory but I HOPE I have enough.
I also have a table at another small show at a local catholic parish..
Im also planning on listing my ornaments on September first-  and will be making more.

ok more of everything.. so yep this hooker will be busy.
I will still be offering promo through my fan page on facebook.
and will always make time for custom work.
but - holy hooker batman!
 I have my work cut out for me between now and November..
My mom has a booth with me too this year.. but her things are more sewn or egg art.

an exciting day..

not only did I sell 6 items.. I got accpeted to a LARGE fair in November..
ANDI was reminded of a second fair in November..
so happy and OH CRUD at the same time. I have a TON of hooking to do to have the inventory I need at these fairs.

just finished a custom piece

 I just finished a pair of arm warmers for a friend.
they are made with a cotton yarn.
The part took the longest- writing out the pattern as I went so I could make two.
I think they turned out pretty well.
I think Ill make a pair or two and Get the pattern into a PDF as it is simple.

Im doing better

My shoulder is now allowing me to knit a little
which is better then no yarn play at all.
 slowly I'm getting back to myself.
so as the summer progresses Ill be looking for more fairs..
and yes I will have my hooks out and ready. cuz IF I keep up with this knitting stuff I might poke someone with the sticks...
I'm donating a hat ( crochet of course) and a scarf ( knitted) to a ladies retreat a friend is putting on for their auction. Hope I have the scarf done in time.

So in the last few months -
I have finished a few hats- got another custom piece done-
screwed up my shoulder again and got asked to be team captain for my faciltys participation in the walk to end Alzheimer's disease ( aka the memory walk)

I found some fantastic yarnb - it is 95 percent baby alpaca and 5 -percent undyed wool- in other words Heaven in a ball... now a hat.  ( ecco Duo by cascade yarns)
it is sooo pretty. I didn tknow it had the striping in it until After i made the hat and it is great.

 OH and we adopted a sweet four legged critter who attacks yarn..
her name is Oreo isn't she pretty?
 she is on a diet so shhh dont say anything about her being fat.

I finished one blanket got it listed

The person whom requested it bought it and it is ready to ship.
Then same day someone else has requested a similar item- twice as large as the one I just finnished.
this time- only in green. :)
Im looking forward to this.
The yarn Im working with is a super soft squishy yarn.
It is fantastic with a M sized hook.
LOVE it!
